Why has the Colombian legal community been so interested in Cuba CON-PARA?

The Cuba CON-PARA congress has aroused a special interest in the Colombian legal community, especially among academics linked to the Universidad Externado de Colombia. This institution was founded on February 15, 1886 by the young jurist Nicolás Pinzón Warlosten, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious in Latin America. It is recognized for its rigor, academic excellence and pluralism. The firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) recognized Externado as one of the 100 best Latin American universities and among the 500 best in the world.

The attention that Cuba CON-PARA has achieved on Colombian lands - the second country that after Italy interacts the most with the congress website - the marked activism of Dr. Gonzalo Ramírez Cleves, who is a professor and researcher in the Department of Constitutional Law of the Externado and editor-in-chief of the Journal of State Law -alias Revista de Derecho del Estado-, has played an essential role. Professor Ramírez Cleves and Professor Magdalena Correa Henao, also from Externado, will be two of Cuba's main speakers CON-PARA, who, in addition to honoring our congress, will generate rigorous guidelines for scientific dialogue and comparison with good reason.
