Havana, Cuba – The Organizing Committee of the II International Congress of Comparative and Constitutional Law “Cuba CON-PARA” has the honor to announce that three of Italy's most prominent associations in the field have officially confirmed their sponsorship for the event, to be held from February 3 to 6, 2026, at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.
These are the Associazione Italiana di Diritto Comparato (AIDC - Italian Association of Comparative Law), presided over by Prof. Salvatore Sica; the Associazione Diritto Pubblico Comparato ed Europeo (DPCE - Association of Comparative and European Public Law), led by Prof. Rolando Tarchi; and the Società Italiana per la Ricerca nel Diritto Comparato (SIRD - Italian Society for Research in Comparative Law), under the presidency of Prof. Barbara Pozzo. The backing of these renowned international institutions reinforces the academic standing of the congress and strengthens the bridges for legal dialogue between Cuba, Latin America, and Europe.
The collaboration of these associations, which are pillars in the study and promotion of comparative law, will materialize in the co-organization of thematic panels, the dissemination of the event among their members, and the exchange of academic publications, thereby enriching the scientific program of the congress.
“We are deeply honored by the trust and support of the Italian academy, the cradle of modern comparative law. Their participation is an invaluable endorsement for our project to create a plural and critical space for constitutional debate,” stated Dr.C. Andry Matilla Correa, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Havana and general coordinator of the event.
The second edition of Cuba CON-PARA, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Havana, is thus positioned as an essential meeting for jurists, academics, and students from all over the world, who will gather in Havana to debate the most pressing challenges of contemporary constitutionalism.
The organizing committee extends its most sincere gratitude to the AIDC, DPCE, and SIRD associations for joining this initiative and helping to strengthen international academic cooperation ties.
The call for papers remains open until October 31, 2025.
